THERMAL POWER STATION

1.0 KORBA EAST THERMAL POWER STATION ( 4 X 50 MW + 2 X 120 MW )

Korba East TPS is located at the East Bank of River Hasdeo and near Balco  Aluminium Factory having Installed capacity of 440 MW. The various units of the Power Station were commissioned on  dates given below :

Power House - II
Unit 1 ( 50 MW ) - 22/10/1966
Unit 2 ( 50 MW ) - 16/07/1967
Unit 3 ( 50 MW ) - 28/08/1968
Unit 4 ( 50 MW ) - 31/10/1968

The above units were de-rated to 40 MW w.e.f. 01/01/1990 by Central Electricity Authority (CEA). Refurbishment work of all the units has been completed. After completion of the work, the capacity of the 40 MW units has enhanced to 50 MW. Dates of re-commissioning after refurbishment are as follows: 

Unit 1 ( 50 MW ) - 03/03/2004
Unit 2 ( 50 MW ) - 12/09/2002
Unit 3 ( 50 MW ) - 09/12/2002
Unit 4 ( 50 MW ) - 03/10/2003

 

Power House - III
Unit 5 ( 120 MW ) - 24/03/1976
Unit 6 ( 120 MW ) - 05/04/1981

The load on these units was restricted to 90-95 MW due to various problems in Boiler side and design deficiencies. Refurbishment of these units has been completed and the units are running normally at 110 to 115 MW load. The dates of re-commissioning after refurbishment are as follows.

Unit 5 ( 120 MW ) - 03/03/2005
Unit 6 ( 120 MW ) - 08/10/2003

02.0 KORBA EAST EXTENSION  THERMAL POWER STATION (  2 X 250 MW )

 

 

Korba East  Extension TPS is located at the East Bank of River Hasdeo . The various units of the Power Station were commissioned on  dates given below

Unit 1 ( 250 MW ) - 30/03/2007
Unit 2 ( 250 MW ) - 11/12/2007

3.0 KORBA WEST THERMAL POWER STATION (  4 X 210 MW )

Korba West TPS is located by the side of Hasdeo Barrage. The various units of the Power Station were commissioned on following dates as given below -

Unit 3 ( 210 MW ) - 28/03/1985
Unit 4 ( 210 MW ) - 13/03/1986

CO- GENERATION  POWER  STATION

The units of co generation kawardha  Power Station ( 1 x 6 MW ) was commissioned on dated 10.08.2006

HYDEL POWER  STATION

1.0 HASDEO BANGO HYDEL POWER STATION ( 3 X 40 MW  )

The units of Hasdeo Bango Hydel Power Station were  commissioned during 1994-1995. The date of commissioning of units are given as below -

2.0 GANGREL  HYDEL POWER STATION ( 4 X 2.5  MW  )
